So I bought this…
Thinking it could be used in our powder room. Actually, I was at a silent auction, put in a bid on a whim, and didn’t expect to actually win. So I didn’t really actually measure the thing and it turns out, it’s too big. So sad! So I think I will try and find an appreciative new owner on Kijiji (of course). Inside is a radio, including a shortwave one, that actually works! It’s actually pretty cool.

On my living room wall . It’s a fantastic picture taken by my uber-talented mother-in-law’s sister (is there a term I’m supposed to use here?) Sadly, she doesn’t have a version that is high enough resolution for me to print out and frame. So I’m stuck looking for another suitable pic, and in the meantime, the mirror sadly awaits its fate.
Unbelievably, I also saw this at my local Bibles for Missions:
But it was already sold to (but not yet paid for by) a store volunteer! I hung around, asked some questions, and tried to make it clear that I would be more than willing to pay for it on the spot and take it that day, but the stars weren’t aligned for me that time. Sigh. Still determine to find something compact yet useable for the tiny office…
