WHY GEZELLIG?

The Dutch have a special word to describe “cosiness”, “comfort”, but it’s also something that goes a little beyond that. “Gezellig”. Pronounced correctly, it kinda sounds like you’re clearing your throat, but this blog explores its meaning by documenting experiences that make life richer and deeper; through food, family, and the making of a home.

Holiday Cards

by amanda on November 19, 2015

So…something I’ve done in my head a thousand times before….finally put pen to paper (so to speak) and made some holiday greeting cards. Pretty happy with the result! I worked with a local printer and got some great paper. The design uses metallic ink. The result was pretty fab. The whole process reminded me how excited I get when visiting a printing press and being surrounded by all that paper and possibility. Maybe something to think about for the future?

I sent them off to former and new clients, but instead of writing in them, I sent them a set of the two, unused, so they in turn can use them this holiday. Hoping they will appreciate the gesture as much as I appreciate all the support they’ve given me over the years!

Since printing 150 isn’t alot more than printing 50 cost-wise, I made a bunch extra and am hoping to maybe sell some here and there. I gave some to my in-laws at their Concreations and also made an Etsy Listing (something else I always though would be super cool).
